Anti-Fraud Practices

CVV (3 digit security code on back of card) is now enabled for fraud prevention and your protection! American Express cardmembers: Your code is four digits and is on the front.

We use AVS verification system for all card authorizations. The Address Verification System (AVS) is an advanced level of credit card security that is now used to help guard against credit card fraud. When a card is sent to the bank for processing the house number portion of the address and postal code entered with the order must match that of the cardholder on file.

This is another way to ensure that the owner of the card is in fact the one using it. If the address does not match, then we will email you immediately to advise that your order will be held until we can obtain a bank-verified address from you. If we do not hear from you, we will void the sale and your funds will be released within 3-5 business days by your bank.

Your billing address must exactly match what is on file at your bank. You may use a shipping address which is different than your billing address.

This may delay your order by one business day or more, depending upon our ability to obtain the accurate billing address.

If both your address and zip code fail AVS, the order will be rejected.

Sorry, international cards not permitted.

Chargeback Policy

All references to a "chargeback" refer to a reversal of a credit/debit card charge placed on www.athleteproshop.com.

There is no reason for a chargeback to ever be filed.

If a credit is due or if someone has used your card fraudulently, simply contact us and we will gladly assist you immediately.

Unnecessary chargebacks are theft and can be prosecuted.

If you feel that your credit/debit card was used fraudulently on www.athleteproshop.com, please contact us for immediate resolution. We have a sophisticated anti-fraud system in place and immediately cancel and void orders that appear fraudulent.

You agree that you will not chargeback any amounts charged to your credit/debit card by AthleteProShop.com.

If you chargeback a credit/debit card charge for a payment initiated by you, you agree that Athlete Pro Shop (Cobalt Ocean Industries) may recover the amount of the chargeback in addition to $25 by any means deemed necessary, including but not limited to recharging your credit/debit card or having the amount recovered by a collection agency.




SHIPPING INFORMATION

All magazine orders are shipped via Media Mail which takes approximately 4 weeks from the mailing date. All subscription orders take 6-8 weeks from the time you subscribe.

All equipment are sent via common carrier with freight pre-paid by Athlete Pro Shop.

These orders arrive as soon as they can based upon equipment manufacturer's schedule.

Backorders: Temporary backorders may delay shipments by 1-2 days, but we will check our other locations for inventory first before we consider an item backordered. In any case, we will e-mail you with an order confirmation within 24 hours of receiving your order.

Email Confirmations: An e-mail confirmation does not mean your order has been shipped. It is to confirm that we have received your order. You will receive an email USPS tracking number for your package when it has been shipped.

We do our best to offer policies that serve your best interest as well as protecting ours. We encourage you to read, even print this section for reference prior to placing your order.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to an increase in identity theft, we limit our phone orders, and we prefer that you order online. It is 100% guaranteed secure. We pride ourselves on having nailed hundreds of fraudulent (a.k.a. stolen card/identity) purchases at the point of the order process. Identity theft is a serious crime, and causes years of inconvenience for innocent customers. We do not tolerate it, and neither should you.

VISA and Mastercard issued by U.S. banks only. International cards not accepted.

All consumer transactions and purchases on this web site are secured. This ensures that all transactions and purchases you send to us via the World Wide Web will be encrypted. If any other internet user intercepts the communication he/she will only be able to see it in an encrypted (garbled) form.

Return Information

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds, exchanges, or returns permitted except for the following:

Subscriptions:
Subscriptions with remaining issues unmailed, refunds will be issued by calling (800) 940-5978. Please do not call regarding product shipments. Please EMAIL US regarding product shipments.

Damaged Shipments:
If you receive a damaged product, do not open the package. Contact us via EMAIL anytime.

We will not accept returns on damaged products that have been opened.

Quality Claims on Open Product:
If you are not satisfied with the quality or performance of a product, please contact the manufacturer directly. The manufacturer will want to know how their product is perceived by the consumer. We cannot accept returns on products that have been opened.
